Facebook has now become a household name. Regardless of how old you are or where you’re located, Zuckerberg’s social experiment has earned your attention. With over 1 billion daily users and its messenger surpassing 900 million profiles, its presence is difficult to ignore. The significance of Facebook and the role it has played in modern communication is beyond measure. Entrepreneurs have tried diligently to harness the features of this platform for marketing success. But with any great tool comes even greater responsibility and in some cases, practice doesn’t always make perfect. Perfection can only be attained when taught correctly. Truth be told, Facebook entrepreneurs have not been instructed how to most effectively use their business page features. Here is a list of some of the features for entrepreneurs:
Create Video Playlists
Remember how excited we were when the teacher announced that he was going to pop in a movie on today’s lesson instead of hearing his boring voice lecture on our least favorite subject? There’s something about watching films that will always remain slightly more appealing to viewers. Videos easily convey information by visually demonstrating their material and entertaining the viewer. Spectators receive an entirely different experience with video because they get a “sneak-peek” into a figure’s personality. Ways to use this feature are endless. Entrepreneurs can do a series of “how-to” tutorials or a “day in the life” documentary. Study your audience and create videos based on their needs.
Create Ads and “Take Action Now!” Buttons
Because the majority of users spend time on the daily feed scrolling through posts, placing an ad in plain sight can be beneficial. Facebook has simplified the process where within minutes; users can create a custom ad with an original pic and snappy text. Just decide on a daily, weekly or lifetime budget and the database will generate the estimated ROI in terms of clicks. Once approved, this feature will immediately launch your campaign.
Isn’t it ironic that entrepreneurs on social networks are hardly social with us? You would think that they would acknowledge our choice to be a supporter of their brand. The truth is most businesses do not interact with their fans or with entities that offer similar services. Their primary focus is accumulating a massive fan base in the form of likes. This is understandable but we can’t ignore the power of sending friends a direct message, commenting on their page or liking their post. In a search engine filled with spammers, being interactive and getting personal with your audience goes a long way.
Updated Usernames and Messenger Codes
Earlier this month, Facebook Messenger launched cool new features so users can find and contact you with ease. Firstly, our usernames now appear on our profile with an @ symbol behind the title (i.e. @rprnmag). Secondly, they’ve created unique codes that people can scan directly from their camera phone. In the past, users may have struggled to find you with the search bar. These codes assure users that they are connected with the right person. It also simplifies the whole “friend request” process. Messenger Codes will soon be integrated into virtually every aspect of business. Big corporations will place the code on billboards and entrepreneurs will have it on business cards.
